The Rolling Stones

Though often purported to have been designed by Andy Warhol, actually British graphic artist John Pasche devised the "tongue and lips" motif in 1970. The logo was inspired not just by Mick Jagger's famous mouth but also that of the Hindu goddess Kali.

This isn't about which band you like better ... it's about who has a great band logo....

And I can't understand why the MONKEES logo was left out. They may have not been the greatest band ever but that logo is classic and the first of it's kind. Without it there wouldn't have even been the idea of a Phish logo looking like a fish.

No argument here. It's a classic, that is for sure. Too bad they didn't have this logo from day 1 like some of the other great bands/logos.

This should have been #1, but some of the other crap shouldn't even made the list (Scissor Sisters?? Korn??!!) Where were the classic logos for Cheap Trick, Chicago, The Sex Pistols ,The New York Dolls, The Monkees?? What 20-something put this garbage together, huh??!!

It's ridiculous that people are bickering over which band was better here. Who the hell gives a flying fuck? If you're going to argue that shit, argue it where it matters. This is a list of LOGOS you dumbass retards. Is everyone on here still in high school, and in the Special Ed program?
