Best Band Logos: No. 3
English artist Roger Dean has made a name for himself with his fantasy landscapes, many of which adorn Yes album covers along with the "bubble" logo he debuted on the band's 1972 LP 'Close to the Edge.'

No, it didn't debut on Close the Edge. Do some research! It first appeared on The Yes Album, then Fragile. I lament the death of journalism.

No Shocho, spinner is right. The first attempt of trademark logo was Fragile, the first Dean album Cover. The Logo we as YES fans know and love today first appeared on Close to the Edge

I think that the Asia logo is a better than the Yes logo and should have been included on this list.

I'm just thankful the list makers even know who Yes is, let alone put them in the top 3! Obviously some intelligence persists in journalism! Kudos to the spinner staff, as well as, of course, Yes and Roger Dean.

WHERE IS LED ZEPPELIN
don't get me wrong, i love yes but led zeppelin has some of the greatest logos ever. When they first came to be on led zeppelin four. And Rush should be in here somewhere. Good god these people wouldn't know a good logo if it bit them on the ass

As I clicked from #25 and counted down I only hoped, yet assumed that the voters or critics or whoever created this list would recognize my favorite band, and one of the greatest modern artists to ever live... Roger Dean. Check out his website. He lives in an eco-friendly home he designed which is like a page out of a CS Lewis or JRR Tolkien novel. Long live YES (literally) and kudos to a masterful piece of logo artwork. I've searched long and hard for the right person to tattoo this logo but I have yet to find the artist that is willing to challenge him or herself to do it freehand without tracing.

Yep, you guys are right. Bubble logo on Edge first. I still don't know why it isn't #1, though.
