It's a boring logo. Amanda presents a perfectly valid point. This logo would be completely lost and forgotten if not for the music behind it. This list is about LOGOS, not the MUSIC. As a logo in itself, regardless of the "greatness" of the artist it represents, it is a mediocre image. Face it fanboys.

The reason that the logo is here is not solely due to the band's popularity. It's iconic. I can't think of how many metal texts/fonts I've seen that are based off of this style.

This logo has standed the test of time. NO QUESTION one of the greatest rock names in history, but NO QUESTION just a brilliant portrayal of the bands rock and roll power itself. Top 5 logo for sure.
