saw him perform on the awards show...the so called tribute to his mama was a really weak copy of eminem's song "lose yourself"...man it stunk. How does a no-talent idiot get so much airplay?

I agree, this is a dope video. You really gotta understand the lyrics to get this video. Of course, the haters are gonna hate regardless, but seriously, do you even get the song in the first place? I bet you think the song is about the night life huh? Kanye's goin to meet his girl huh? Nah...

Flashing lights IS refering to the flashing lights of the glitz and glam.
It's also refering to those damn flashing bulbs of the cameras, that are always watching you.

It matches the song's lyrics brilliantly. If you don't get that, uh... your stupid.

Fools, the video does make sense. Read the lyrics. In the song Kanye dissed his girl and she paid him back. The video takes it a bit further although the theme is the same. Open your heads.
