Anyone who doubts Freddie's musical genius, needs to hunt down bootleg of Queen's 1979 gig at Hammersmith Odeon (McCartney's charity event "Concerts for the People of Kampuchea") - and witness a man ascending rock god status on nothing but his band and a bare stage (forget the explosives.)Then for studio recording, check out the 70s albums - especially "Queen II" (1974) and experience Mozart in rock.Mercury's genius is in the obscure stuff the music press blindly dismissed and ignored, not the radio-friendly hit songs that kept the entire band afloat.
Freddie spoke the truth. He beats any present day singer.
It is no wonder that the rest of the planet fears America they can all see what Intellectual Morons are to inherit this country!!
this isn't cocky, its true!!
One of the greatest front man/entertainer of our time! Showman, Energetic and a voice blessed by the Gods of heaven! We love you Freddy! Those are not angels in heaven singing, It's Elvis and Freddy! RIP
Go Freddie! He definitely IS a legend. Most amazing voice.
Over rated human butt plug. You think with all the $ he made he would at least check out some orthodontia?
you are a legend freddie.
I dont know if he could be considered a legend, but a lot of his music has stood the test of time and some of it is a lot better than people gave them credit for. But a lot of these comments are really nasty and uncalled for. He DID die a sad death. Just because he slept with other guys doesnt mean he was a bad person. Jamie P., are you as stupid as you are ignorant?
His statement was that "I won't be a rock star, I will be a legend," and as I and every Freddy Mercury/Queen fan see it he is both. He will forever be missed, but his music and talent will live on.
