And no one can name any of his. Hmmm, with all these people dissing JB here, you managed to name someone even less likeable. Man was a censorship advocate now remembered only for his What's My Line appearances and his huge ego. How he got Jayne Meadows (who is by most accounts nice) to marry him is a mystery.

for all of you whiteys posting comments. James BROWN WAS NOT ONLY A LEGEND BUT HE ALSO INSTILLED A SENSE OF PRIDE IN ALL BLACK PEOPLE WITH ONE SONG. BEETHOVEN, BACH AND ALL THOSE OTHERS NEVER KNEW WHAT IT WAS TO BE SUBJECTED TO SEGREGATION, JIM CROW, AND AN AMERICAN SOUTH WHERE IT WAS LEGAL TO KILL BLACK PEOPLE ON A WHIM. HOW MANY OF THOSE PEOPLE WOULD HAVE HAD ENOUGH COURAGE TO GO ON STAGE AND CALM THE ANGER OF BLACK PEOPLE ON THE VERGE OF A RIOT AFTER THE DEATH OF MLK. HE SINGLEHANDEDLY SAVED THE LILY WHITE TOWN OF BOSTON FROM BURNING TO THE GROUND. SO WHEN YOU CONSIDER HIS MUSIC YOU ALSO HAVE TO CONSIDER THE NUMEROUS OBSTACLES THAT THE AMERICAN BLACK HAD TO OVERCOME IN ORDER TO JUST MAKE A RECORD. JAMES BROWN WILL ALWAYS BE A LEGENDARY FIGURE IN THE AMERICAN MUSICAL LEXICON, BECAUSE HE WAS GOOD ON SO MANY LEVELS. All the haters and hatred in the world can never change that. RIP

Okay if he is talking about outdoing them as in musical greatnes then its false. But if he is literally just talking about how many songs or whatever he wrote then it appears almost factual. ha

It's quality not quantity that counts, Mr. Brown. Not that you're not good... but hey, you try writing a symphony or an opera. It's a little different from a 3-5 minute song.
