Potent Quotables: Young Backs Bush?
"You've got to give the guy credit ... He led. He took this country where he wanted to take it. And he steadfastly stuck with it all the way." -- Neil Young
The politically charged singer acknowledged President Bush's perseverance at the Sundance Film Festival, where he was promoting his documentary 'CSNY Deja Vu.'

That's an opinion Neal but if a bully wants to beat your Mom you don't "got to" credit him for beating her! Nor for going through all the children protecting her to get his way in beating her. That's not tenacity! That's rage!
A person placed in a job of trust has no business ruining the country's values nor for hurting his own people!
Remember the Katrina massacre!

I just read the entire report on Young and I am going to HAVE to be careful with this KIM DAVIS! The quote was very selective and had nothing to do in the real content of what Neil young was talking about! Young may have used the wrong example but he was defending people who have speech impediments! Crosby made a comment confusing intelligence with good grammer or phonetics! That's like saying stutterers aren't smart! But Crosby referred to Bush who I think IS stupid but gives people with speech impediments a bad name!!!

Do you people even know the meaning of the word facecious? Geez! And you need to get over that "Southern Man" thing -- he wrote that over 30 years ago. Time to let go.

real question is: do *you* know the meaning (and the spelling) of the word?

I guess if you are president, even albeit a terrible one, that's what you have to know how to do. Right?

Ah, Neil forgets how Nixon led, took this country where he wanted to take it...the body count differs but the continuing outcomes are painfully the same. It seems incredible to me that he (Neil Young)could mouth such naive nonsense. I am of an age with Neil Young, a Viet Nam-era vet, and I remember his thoughts and convictions clearly from way back when. Apparently he has somehow forgotten the blood, death, and ultimate folly that resulted from the choices that were made from a power-mad fool that held the highest office in the land. Always will love Neil's music but have no use for such an idiotic position that he assumed. Oh, should stop wasting thoughts and words here...

All of you people love to complain about Bush, but who elected him into office twice?? If all of you whiners actually voted, maybe he wouldn't have been re-elected! You're all going to whine even more when old man McCain beats the best of who's left, either Billary or Obama, it doesn't really matter. Can't the Dems get anyone to run for office that can really compete? It sure doesn't look like it.

I have been a Neil Young fan for so many years, and about his opinions - remember, they are HIS opinions. Everyone is entitled to one, remember? Oh, and about the "Southern Man don't need him around anyhow", remember - Neil Young & Ronnie Van Zant were close friends, and Neil has been quoted on several occasions that he would play "Sweet Home Alabama" over "Southern Man" anyday. Ronnie had a Neil Young song saved for an upcoming Skynyrd album ("Powderfinger", one of my favorite Neil Young songs) that Ronnie never got a chance to record because of the tragic plane crash. As Mr. Young himself has said, "There's more to the picture than meets the eye". Hey Hey, My My.
