Stage Name Stories

This isn't a stage name story, but it is a stage story.
I used to have a band, "Loaded Dice," We were an original band playing small clubs and dives on Long Island and a Hotel in Roscoe upstate.
We played this gig at a place called Phineas T's. It just so happened we had our regulars showing up but also other people who had heard of us. Our audience was growing. We played well and on the break the owner said he wanted us to come back in 2 weeks and he'd pay us even more money.
We held on and played the regular stuff for half of what we were going to get at Phineas T's. Or so we thought. On the day of the gig we're at the club doing our pre-dinner sound test. And this huge guy with a crew cut carrying a clip board comes out of nowhere. I could tell by his blazing red golf shirt that had the Globe and Anchor on the pocket that this was a Marine. He asks us who we are and we tell him. He says he doesn't hear any covers and that's what he wants. And we explained that we were hired by the owner as an original band. And the guy says, "I"m the new owner. If you don't play more covers than you're doing I'm only going to pay you half price."
It got worse, but I won't bore you. It's just that you look forward to that one really nice gig that pays a little better. It's very encouraging. Only to be foiled by someone else's financial bungling.

I dont know why people can hate someone so much its not like he has committed any crime! For Christ sake stop judging people. Especially any members of U2. U2 rules!!!!

There was this one time at band camp....

i dont understand why a lot of you people r being so rude to bono. i personally think he does a lot for so many unfortunate people, i mean, comeon! compare him to people like bush and other celebrities who do nothing to help the less fortunate and that will definately help you to see how much he does for other people. he runs ONE and (red) and donates so much of his so called "wealth" to charity. he is always trying to help OUR country too, as in the USA, when he doesnt even live here! he lives in ireland! so please, think about your views of this great man a little bit more and realize that just because he doesnt live in a communist country and that his children have milk everyday, he helps those that dont have his privelages and sacrifices to help them.

bono hes one of the best singer

While I respect that Bonos using his fame to help people, Im just wondering, why is it everyone thinks Bono is so great, but Angelina Jolie does basically the same thing, but gets bashed by everyone?

LOL...celebs are the worst liars around ...they fool you people...im in the 150,000 a year pay range...but i still give lots to charities...money means nothing to me ...atleast i work for a living ...not sitting in front of a camara fakin my way through life ...LOOSER'S...by the way ...i live in a 3 bedroom house with wife and daughter..we dont need all this bling bling 22-24-inch rims on our cars..or wait ..200,000 $ bling bling in our mouths...
