Everytime I hear the name, all I can think of is the Eddie Izzard joke about it, lol.

Is it bad that I don't know who half these people are?

The best singer out there can't hold a candle to Engelbert, for range of voice, or power of the voice. Too bad, the young people don't even know his name. I feel sorry for them.

Wow!! I just bought an old LP record of Englebert's in memory of my late grandmother because he was her favorite. I agree, this online pic isn't that kind or flattering on his behalf. He was quite the crooner and ladies' man in his hey day, and I am sure he would have quite the following if he returned to the stage. He would probably be very popular if he toured the casino concert circuit or Branson, MO.

I waited three months to see Engelbert at the Wheeling Island Casino last October. He was wonderful. He is still very handsome and can outsing ANYBODY. His voice is better now than when he started. Its a shame he isn't on TV or what ever it would take to make these young people aware of his wonderful talent.
