Born: Marvin Lee AdayWhat's in a Name: The 'Bat Out of Hell' blockbuster's first band was called Meat Loaf Soul; he debuted, oddly, with Motown, as half of a duet called Stoney and Meat Loaf. Recently changed his given first name, which no one knew anyway, to Michael.

His Dad gave hime the nickname when he was a child. He cahnged his name to Michael because he hated the name Marvin due to an ad for Levi's jeans that stated "Everyone can wear Levi's...except Big Marvin".

I thought it was because the initials of M~eat L~oaf matched those of Marvin Lee, and it there fore gave rise to the humourous name "Meat-Loaf-A-day".....
