Born: Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr.What's in a Name: Snoop Dogg was nicknamed "Snoopy" by his mom for his love of the 'Peanuts' comic strip. If the original Snoopy was, in fact, a little bit gangsta, 'Doggystyle,' we presume, was not quite what Charles Schulz had in mind.

One of our local newscasters keeps flubbing his name when it comes up in the news. He calls him "Snoopy Dog Dog." It's kind of cute, actually.

Snoop Doggy Dog, Snoop Dog, & now Snoop. Can't figure out his own name- guess the weed made him forget. (Check out his eyes). His BLING & the way he dresses really impress me, & he can actually rhyme words!!! But most of all, gotta love the 3 braids- he looks just like a sweet little girl!
