Steve Winwood and Eric Clapton Reunite Onstage and in the Studio
For the past few nights, and concluding tonight, Steve Winwood has been sharing the stage of a sold-out Madison Square Garden with his old running buddy Eric Clapton. Re-creating the chemistry of their days in Blind Faith, the duo not only revisited several of their short-lived supergroup's oeuvre in the New York music mecca, they premiered a few new tunes from Winwood's upcoming album 'Nine Lives,' including the album's first single, the just-released 'Dirty City.' Give a listen to 'Dirty City,' which features Clapton's able fretwork alongside Winwood's blues-rock vocalizing, not to mention the famed keyboardist's own guitar prowess.
