While GOP candidate John McCain has all but secured his spot in the big Election '08, the Democratic hopefuls are still in a heated battle for delegates. Gear up for tonight's crucial primaries in Texas, Ohio, Rhode Island and Vermont with the latest news on who in music is getting down with politics.
    • After seeing Barack Obama on the cover of Men's Vogue, rapper Mos Def insists that the Illinois senator will win the Democratic race "because he looks good." He added, "America's too vain."
    • Will.i.am makes a star-studded Obama video -- Take Two!
    • Hillary Clinton scored points when she hit up comedy outlets 'The Daily Show With Jon Stewart' and 'SNL' to poke fun at herself. We love self-deprecating humor.
    • Russell Simmons exits the land of the undecided and backs Barack.
    • Rewind: Is this what will happen if Barack secures the Democratic bid tomorrow night?
    • Arcade Fire covered David Bowie, John Lennon at the Barack Rock Stop in Cleveland (rocks!). See all the sweaty shots from the event right here.
    • Kris Kristofferson jumped on the Barack bandwagon. Better late than never.
    • In sort of related news, Jenna Bush did her best to establish indie-rock cred on MTV.
Get a complete rundown of who's supporting whom after the jump.

I sure in the hell don't.
What Madonna thinks isn't going to change my mind on how to cast my vote.

i am glad people are taking a stand. but should think deeply before you vote. i do not care how popular you are, you will not sway most other people. i came up in 60s/70s....many new choices. im ready for a change but think about what changes matter... who can do more for the people? i would like to see a woman or afro american/etc. as pres. in my life time. but i also have to think about who will get changes made. will we take hillary serious or will obama be killed by some wacko? i like that neil young song...."maybe hes walking among us.

The only people who cares about celebrities are celebrities and the media. (The media needs to stop kidding itself. By doing stories about stars, they think they become quasi-celebs -- hence the glut of coverage of everything stars do even though survey after survey shows that the majority of Americans don't give a crap.)
What I did find interesting, though, is how many of the black celebs are voting for Clinton. It seems the younger and whiter crowd likes O'bama because they think he's cool. Wow. What about his ability to handle wars, and the economy, etc.? It reminds me of the white and Hispanic kids who like to hang around the black kids in high school and dress like them, talk like them. The wannabes. This generation scares me. They have no common sense. No fashion sense. And no morals. They like O'bama because of his vision of hope for the future. Well, the future's not always rosy, kids. You spoiled brats.

Isn't it kind of funny that you have to go 2/3 of that slideshow to even see that any "celebrities" support any Republican candidates. I like Obama myself, but it's really unfortunate that becoming an Obama supporter is the "popular" thing to do.

I agree with both of these comments, but I also think you ought to be careful what you wish for. As an independent conservative with the right to go either way I am NOT impressed with McCain, am slightly impressed with Obama (but will he really be able to accomplish anything in 4 years, and will he get another chance if he doesn't). I don't trust the Clinton's as far as I could throw both of them.

The current administration has made so many mistakes and has NOT communicated with U.S. in the process. I honestly don't know. For me the change I want is probably not the change most people want. I absolutely do not hold the same agenda...ooops, values as Clinton or Obama, and don't know if I can trust McCain to do the right thing that Bush couldn't seem to accomplish because of his "me against the world" attitude, instead of "U.S. against the world."
I could care less about our so-called image abroad. France and Germany, and Russia or China could care less about U.S. too, regardless of how much we cow-tow to their ridiculous demands.

Wow. I am suprised as i look at the pic just to see who they support. and i agree with all the comments. they don't even change my mind about who i vote and it shouldn't. Even the celeb make mistake and can be a poor role model if they weren't careful. I remember when i went to the mall i am suprise at the younger generation (well i am 25 but i think like 30 or so) can be so callous. try to follow all the trend (even include to follow the celeb way) from look to vote. I wouldn't even follow thier look, i have my own. so why bother follow thier decision about who to vote. All i ever want is to have a great president (beside Bush for those of you who think he is great) that can help bring back America, decrease the unemployment rate, health care, and the other most important things that brought America strong. Pretty please, enough with the war. Too many life had been shed enough for a lifetime, perhap even more. It time for a change, this time for the better. You right about the younger generation being a spoil brat. they just had no idea what really going on the real world (not the tv crap)

There is a reason it's called Hollyweird people. These people for the most part are unable to think for themselves. They have people telling them what to think, wear, how to act. They've become so accustomed to acting. They even act in public. Most have no idea who they even really are. Very few have any education at all. Look how they live, they think they're above common people. The law. Anyone really want them telling you how to vote? Then do the rest of the country a favor and don't vote, because that means you haven't even bothered to look at how any of them voted. Their accomplishments in office. Your just blind voting, to be cool.

In response to Michigan... I agree with your comment. I'm also an independent. Declaring loyalty to a certain party, whether conservative, liberal is not my bag. People should align themselves with a stance (party, view) that is relevant to our country's needs at this particular time, not a lifestyle or tradition of family party loyalties passed on from generation to generation, nor celebrities. Media glorifies the top 3 candidates, all a drone of the same voice, giving 3 different versions of a wrong path for our country. Ultimately speaking of no substantial change except for the illusion that having 2 of America's most historically repressed race and gender as front runners for President of the "Oh my god this must be change" United States, and a good ole' p.o.w american boy as a safety to catch any traditionalists not buying the bait. Our militaristic foreign policy is headin' for the crapper, and the very presence of a uniform fuels the fire of tension and tender for a new generation of hatred. Everyone is looking for someone to fix and "save" America, looking for the next best promise. No one is going to change anything for us except ourselves. We need someone who is willing to give the power back to the communities and people, and reduce over abused powers of the federal gov't spending. Don't be naive to think that they won't do anything to hold onto this power, using all their influence, interests, and the invisible money contributing to our debt. Even if it means throwing at you the same formula of 3 faces everytime you use a media device. There are other candidates giving a separate voice. willing to pull our troops home, not just "re-allocate" them. We have immigration issues that could use their help restoring order to the immigration process, and that much needed solution could indirectly reduce the healthcare crisis. Right now we need to conserve, regroup, reduce the invisible spending of the federal gov't, give the states power to fix our own problems,(education, abortion, war on drugs, ect.) to the communities dealing with our nation's problems on the front lines. Ron Paul seems to be the only one going against the grain of the all mighty powerful federal gov't, unconditionally bracing his voice of integrity against the critism of those in power and is a threat to the system of illusion that has been in the works for years.

    1. Who cares about anyone else's political view but your own, I AM NOT INFLUENCED BY THE WEAK MINDED!

    2. Celebs political views are shared to keep the hype going, it's good media tactic.

    3. Who in their right mind would want to live in a liberal communist country anyway? Yeah that's right I'm talking about Hillary and Obama. For those of you that don't really know whats going on how about looking up the TRUE meaning of the words Liberal and Communist and go back and research what Hillary and Obama are REALLY about. Stop being feed all that media hype and look inward for the answers.

Right on STEVE! We are spending "invisible" money...well, not to the foreign countries that are loaning it to us. And yes our best candidates don't have a shot at winning. Did anyone hear RON PAUL in the Republican debates...awesome. And did anyone hear Bill Richardson in the Democratic debates, very smart. Too bad they don't have the "it" factor. That seems all that WE are really interested in. :-(

Who cares what famous rich person would back for presidential candidate? Honestly if you asked most of them to name 3 major things Obama has done to effect the citizens of this country in a positive way 90 percent of them couldn’t give you those 3 answers. Hilary is experience and that shouldn’t be a disadvantage, yet it seems as though it is. I would rather know whom I am voting to put in the highest office. To be honest Bill was a great president for us less fortunate people and I hope she will do just as well.

Like one of Obama’s supporters said, “Barack would make a great president, but not yet”. Either way the Democratic Party should have this election locked up after the Gorge Dubya Bush / DICK Cheney administration.
