Rock Almanac: March 4, 2008

On This Date in 1978: Andy Gibb's '(Love Is) Thicker Than Water' reaches No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, supplanting the Bee Gees' 'Stayin' Alive' from the top spot.

The Almanac Advises for March 4: "Older siblings often display jealousy upon the arrival of a new baby brother or sister. The main reason for this phenomenon is that the older child is accustomed to having the spotlight to himself without competition."
