Nada Surf Ride the Wave of 'Luck' on the Interface

Nada Surf made their triumphant return to the Interface -- this time with video -- to perform five songs from their infectious new album, 'Lucky.' Armed with only acoustic guitars and a cajón, the Surf peeled away the complex studio layers of the studio versions and took a bare-bones unplugged approach.

Nada Surf's frontman Matthew Caws spoke to Spinner about the post major-label freedoms that the band now enjoys. "After we got dropped we bought a van and starting doing it ourselves," he said. "It was so simple. We made the record, we sold the record, we said 'Hi' to the people, we played the show." Caws also waxed poetic about working with Chris Walla and the unity within the Barsuk family.
