On This Date in 1945: Actor and Monkees singer and drummer Micky Dolenz is born as George Michael Dolenz Jr., in Tarzana, Calif., to actors George Dolenz and Janelle Johnson.

The Almanac Advises for March 8: "If you are thinking of keeping a primate as a pet, think twice. While young, they may be as fun as a barrel of you-know-whats, but as the big-eyed, furry creatures age into sexual maturity, they can become aggressive."
