On This Date in 1991: Janet Jackson signs the largest record contract ever, with Virgin Records for $32 million. A week later, brother Michael inks a $65 deal with Sony.The Almanac Advises for March 11: "While sibling rivalry is a problem in childhood, it can be an even larger headache with adult children. When adult children persist in acting out against each other for the approval of their mother or father, the fault often lies with the parent. One solution is for the siblings to devote energies to their own children instead of reliving bad family dynamics."
