  • Mariah Carey will replace Janet Jackson as this week's musical guest on 'SNL.' Ms. Jackson was hospitalized Tuesday night for the flu, forcing her to back out of her commitment.
  • Bruce Dickenson's horror flick will be screened at this year's Cannes Film Festival. The 49-year-old Iron Maiden frontman, who co-wrote the film, entitled 'Chemical Wedding,' is flying to the French festival on his band's own jet for the premiere on May 17.

  • 'American Idol' saw huge ratings for last night's show -- it seems, in no small part to its Beatles theme. The monster show finally secured rights to the Lennon-McCartney catalog after seven seasons.
