I'm only vaguely familiar with Rancid, but anyone who has spent any time in, or even read about, San Francisco has heard of the Tenderloin. That part of the city has a reputation for prostitution, drugs, alcohol, and other vices going all the way back to the Gold Rush days. It's the "red light district" of SF. Didn't they teach you kids anything in school?
