Love for Sale: No. 20

For half a century, rock 'n' roll has been as sex-obsessed as a teenage boy -- or a stressed-out politician. Strangely, though, rock becomes prudish when love requires the transfer of cash. Still, hustlers and ladies of the night have occasionally caused tunesmiths to take at least pen in hand. Sometimes these sex professionals cause the ruin of a doe-eyed client. Sometimes they're the ones who are ruined. This gives call for us bloggers, in the world's newest profession, to present 20 songs about the world's oldest.
'Bad Girls' (1979)

Good choices. A new one also qualifies: "Angeline" by Jim Quick & Coastline.

I have this song called "And You Told My Spouse". It hits quite close to home in regard to the Eliot Spitzer incident. He shouldn't have been a hypocrite. This song is real for him and others like him.

Jethro Tull's "Cross-Eyed Mary" surely should have been included in this.

Not only were there famous songs "about" hookers, there were also famous songs "by" hookers. Sk*nk wh*res like madonna and britney "psycho" spears have been pumpin out human waste like an underground sewer-pipe.

HOOKERS ARE NOT "IN" THESE WOMEN ARE THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL. REAL "WOMEN, LIKE REAL "MEN" DON'T SELL OUT THERE ENTIRE GENDER FOR GREED. THOSE WOMEN MAKE THE REST US SICK.
HOW ABOUT, LET'S SAY, THIS IS THE AGE OF THE "SWEET" WOMEN. THE GOOD, HONEST, HONORABLE WOMAN. YES, I LIKE THAT MUCH BETTER.

I think b4 you cast judgement look in the mirror! You don't know these LADIES circumstances and instead of pushing them down help them up.

#9 & #11 must be britney... can't think of anyone else who would be promoting her at this pathetic stage of her life.

Agriculture and fashion designing have to be older professions than prostitution, right?

What about "OPP--Yeah, You know ME!" by Naughty by Nature?? Maybe she wasn't a hooker but what's your definition? Exchange of money? Also, "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves," by Cher deserves a mention. (20 songs is not enough: you're educating people about music they haven't heard yet, so let's make it the Top 100!)
