You know, Sundown does sound like it's about prostitution but it also sounds like someone who is into cheating on her man.I think it's more that one, and I could relate to the chick at the time.

i feel like whoever wrote about this song is a high school student that had to hurry up and complete an assignment before it was due. just completely bull shited it. they have a movie inspired by this song entitled 'scummy man'. amazon has it. im american and enjoy arctic monkeys. 4 now. spinner staff? fuck you.

I hardly believe only 3 americans like them they have an overwhelming following state side. This is a great song and I think Fluorescent Adolescent is more about a girl that grew up and her life became tame, not about a hooker.

the Arctic Monkeys are hardly a garage band. they sell hundreds of thousands of CD's and are pirated even more than that, but only in europe. Im one of about 3 americans that i know who likes them. Check them out, theyre awesome.

Rockin song, the arctic monkeys are an actual punk band from England. Kind of under the radar here but they are big across the pond. They don't really describe the song well, and the person they refer to as a scumbag is just that, not a pimp. There's also no reference to the working girls getting abused, other than the fact that "they must be F$%#ing freezing, scantly clad beneath the clear night sky"
