Courtney Love 'Cons' Kurt Cobain

Courtney Love and Converse will proudly albeit sadly perpetuate the memory of Kurt Cobain with the issuance of a signature shoe line in the late frontman's name later this spring. Containing artwork and scribbles from Cobain's personal notebooks, first published as part of 2002's 'Journals,' the special collection of athletic footwear – sanctioned by Courtney Love and the Cobain estate – will debut in May, according to Internet reports.

Touted as a tribute to the Nirvana brainchild, three of the Converse models that Cobain was often seen sporting – Chuck Taylor All Star, Jack Purcell and One Star – will be included in the new collection. The revised versions of said Cons classics will include wear and fray detailing, as well as Cobain's signature embroidered on the exterior of each shoe.

Marking the first branded product that the Cobain estate has approved since his death, the shoes will be made in black and white versions and will retail at $50 to $65. Cobain, by the way, was wearing a pair of black Converse One Tops when he was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in April 1994.

This is to HONOR him. Actually it's really too much for a drugged out LOSER but there you have it. Died a COWARD by commiting sucide and his only claim to fame, besides being a druggie, was a few songs about nothing. Boo Hoo.

For 1 courtney basically stole the band's rights which in turn made the band split and have nothing to do with her. Thank god they made thier own band The Foo Fifgters. And yes everyone knows you don't give a suicidal man a gun, she could of helped curt if she truly wanted too. It seems a little obvious by her giving curt the gun, she wanted him gone. They didn't have very much in common once Curt made it, because coutrney wanted bigger, better homes, cars and a Rockstar life style. Once courtney took Frances Bean, Curt sunk into a deep depression. Curt was a guy that was down to earth and just wanted to write his music and appreciate life, certainly not to use to escape and his ending result, death.

This is disgusting.

He would hate this.

Isn't selling 25% of his songs for 50 million enough money for her?

This is SICK. Any real Nirvana fan would see this for what it really is;a disgrace. Courtney isn't 50 million for some of his songs enough? You suck and so does any one who buys these shoes.

First she killed his spirit, the she had his body killed, now she's killing his honor. Maybe if she was actually talented and noble enough to earn her own living, she wouldn't have to desocrate her husband's name to get her drugs and plastic surgery, Well, what goes around comes around...Karma is a b**ch.

Courtney love deserves to be put in jail. she is a murderer. they really need to look at this case again. she should get away greediness and a homicide.

Because of Bean I won't say what I truly think on Kurt's death and what happened, because I wasn't there I have no hard proof, though I would like it. But I completely agree that this is not what Kurt would want. I truly believe Kurt never had a clue what all came with fame, the full load. He was simply let down but the fact that even after all the fame and money and what not that the world is still a dark place where he was still the kid from the broken home on the wrong side of the tracks. And for all you who put him down and drag him through the dirt remember this, you aren't perfect you make wrong choices as well. Drug addict or not he was a person just as lost as those who felt close to him through his music. R.I.P. Kurt . . .

Get over yourselves Grunge people. Why don't some of you find the place where he stuck the shotgun in his mouth and see if you can scrape some of his brains off the ceiling and sell it.

YOKO CRACK WHORE!!!! WTF. F converse too. I wish he would blown her head off and put out a new pair of air forces with her actual strands of bloody hair for shoe laces!

I agree to boycott these shoes. Yes, Couertney love hired someone to kill him. He was found with a lethal does of heroin in him anyway. He would't even of been able to pick up a gun. I'm sure they gave him more though.

Let me get this straight.A drug abuser kills himself and now they want to deel his brand of shoes with his name on them.Well in my mind it glorifies suicide. I think converse should be boycotted and his ex whore er wife shold be shot for thinking of this stupid idea

It's pathetic to see a tragedy being used for monetary gain. I don't consider this honoring the memory of Kurt Cobain in the least. This is pure capitalization of a sad event.
