"When [they said], 'Hey, Chris, how's it going?,' that was way better than any gold record or s--- that Nickelback would write about being a rock star." --Chris Robinson

During an interview with Spinner, the Black Crowes singer remembered meeting Crosby, Stills Nash & Young at Madison Square Garden.

The Black Crowes were good, but at least Nickleback is still making records. Where have they been for the last 10 years?

See, the problem is that people that listen to pop music and top 40 hits don't have a real appreciation for music at all. They just listen to it to be "in" and to have something in common with the "in crowd". Real talented artists usually don't even make the top 40 because their music is far superior to that. And there is only a handful of people out there that have a real appreciation for good, quality music and genuinely talented bands compared to the bulk of the population that strives to be cool and popular by listening to top 40. Therefore, the really talented bands & artists are the ones that can still put out cds that can sell say 50,000 copies and can still tour yearly and sell out clubs such as BB King and House of Blues. Those are the bands and artists that produce quality instead of quantity.

He's right. NIckelback sucks, big time. I mean, yeah, little 15 year olds like it. Since they are young, they don't know better.
