Prince to Play Coachella? 'Not True'

Contrary to an L.A. Times report late yesterday, Prince will not be added to the lineup for the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.

Responding to the news, which writer Kevin Bronson credited to "sources," Brandon K. Phillips – the CEO of AEG Live, Coachella's co-producers, wrote, "Regardless of what the Times was told, there is no commitment from Prince to play Coachella."

Although the Purple One appears to be out, Goldfrapp, Aphex Twin, Serj Tankian, Redd Kross and Kate Nash were recently added to Coachella's three-day lineup.
