- Coldplay's fourth studio album, titled 'Viva la Vida,' will hit stores on June 17. The band's manager has said that the Brian Eno-produced project "takes them in some different directions," while the band members themselves insist on their Web site that "It's real and honest. There's no posturing or bombast."
- Snoop Dogg, PlayRadioPlay! and One Republic were added to this year's Bamboozle fest lineup.
- Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Ros and Interpol will headline the Latitude festival in Suffolk, England this July.
- Bat for Lashes, the Dandy Warhols, the Raveonettes and many more will contribute to two forthcoming tribute albums honoring the Cure.
