On This Date in 1999: Ol' Dirty Bastard is arrested in Brooklyn and charged with possession of crack cocaine. In the previous month, the Wu-Tang Clan rapper was cited in Los Angeles for wearing a bulletproof vest, which is illegal in California for convicted felons.The Almanac Advises for March 22: "If you are in a profession that necessitates interstate travel, such as working as a traveling salesman, be keenly aware of how the statutes and laws of each state you visit may differ."
