No Singer? No Problem! New Edition
Old Singer: Bobby BrownNew Singer: Johnny Gill
New Edition were at the top of their game when de facto frontman Brown was dismissed for – believe it or not – "behavioral problems" back in 1986. The bad-boy singer would go on to rack up numerous solo successes – the greatest of which being Whitney Houston – but his ex-mates wouldn't miss a beat, thanks in part to newbie Gill's equally pelvic-centered persona.

I have no idea who wrote this but on this episode you shot from the hip and got shot down...Johnny Gill admitted when he joined the group he couldn't dance at all and had to be taught. His voice gave them a harder edgier and better sound live vs. the studio. This was the reason for their success in addition to having Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis as their producers for N.E. Heartbreak, their first with J.G. Now I gotta check facts on all your stuff...was taking your word for it but your credibility is shot to nano-dust now.

In my opinion, Johnny Gill was and is the best singer out of the entire group. Why? Simply because of the overall maturity of his voice.
While he has not had tremendous success with his solo efforts (and why that is, I have NO clue!!!!) He is a tremendous vocalist.
