On This Date in 1964: The Beatles occupy the top five positions on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart with 'Can't Buy Me Love,' 'Twist and Shout,' 'She Loves You,' 'I Want to Hold Your Hand' and 'Please Please Me.'

The Almanac Advises for April 4: "When an insect infestation overwhelms your home, sometimes even an exterminator cannot control the onslaught. During such times, it's better to make peace with the fact that you will be living alongside the bugs for an indefinite period."
