When the Refused unveiled their 1998 landmark album, 'The Shape of Punk to Come,' Jay Lindsay was in Tennessee getting his start in his band the Reatards. Fast forward ten years: Lindsay's now going by Jay Reatard and shaping punk to come with a no-frills controlled chaos that's breathing new life into the genre. Reatard calls upon punk visionaries the Soft Boys and Morris-Era Black Flag, along with his own driving guitar jangles.
