On This Date in 1963: Julian Lennon -- christened John Charles Julian Lennon -- is born to John Lennon and his first wife, Cynthia, in Liverpool, England.The Almanac Advises for April 8: "It's common that parents will attempt, with some mixed feelings, to discourage their children from going into the family business. However, since kids often look to emulate their parents, they tend to see only the positive aspects of their parents' jobs and dismiss the hardships involved in that line of work."
