Potent Quotables: Adam Green's 'View' Point
- Posted on Apr 16th 2008 1:00PM by Kim Davis
"Aside from getting to meet Whoopi Goldberg, [Kimya Dawson and I] would rather have been home eating lunch." --Adam Green
One half of the Moldy Peaches admitted that life after 'Juno' was "displacing" -- namely, their appearance on estrogen-fueled daytime talk show 'The View.'- Filed under: Potent Quotables

Cant blame Adam for his comment regarding The View appearance. Probably not the best venue for the Moldy Peaches
Baba Wawa (oops Barbara Walters) comment to Ellen Page on the pre-Oscars interview about "not getting The Moldy Peaches" was dumb television at its worst. Credit Ellen for showing more class and not biatch-slapping Baba Wawa during that interview.
I wonder what part of "Who's Got The Crack" does Baba not get (obvs she didnt listen to more MPs...LOL)
And of course major props to Miss Page for getting the word out on the MPs. Lord knows what the menopausing menschs from The View would recommend for music
The MPs music is different, but fun. Its what music should be about....too many take themselves too seriously (wonder which hip-hopper gets "offed" this week...or which Kurt Cobain-wannabe offs himself).
i like the view and absolutely love whoopi. i'm thrilled the psychotic rosie the bully is no longer on the view. adam green of The Moldy Peaches should have been grateful to be on the show - which gave the group more exposure than they already had.
Abu-Jamal was found guilty of the murder of officer Daniel Faulkner who had shot and wounded Abu-Jamal's brother, William Cook, during a routine traffic stop. While I do not condone violence from anyone against another person, and not do I condone murdering a cop, why was it necesary for Daniel Faulkner to shoot William Cook in the first place? Countless police officers are on heavy power trips believing they have license to shoot and kill people - especially people of color - at will. Perhaps had Daniel Faulkner not shot William in the first place, he would not have incurred the karma resulting in his own death by violence.
I HATE THE VIEW ! ! ! THEY ARE ALL NOTHING BUT PRIMA DONAS ! !! ! !

I'd hope that if she really knew all of the details of the Jamal case, she would jump off of that bandwagon.
Joy Behar is a loud mouth who thinks everybody should think as she does. She is rude and disrespectful to the opinions of others.
I love the way these nobodies take themselves so seriously. I have barely heard of The View (but never watched an episode). I think I tuned past it once, saw the repulsive Rosie whatsername, and quickly turned it off before I tossed my cookies. I never turned it back on. As for this Adam guy, who is he and why is he important? I'm sure he's never heard of me, and I sure as heck have never heard of him. More to the point, why does AOL waste electrons pushing out this "news?" Hey, AOL, when are you liberals going to get behind drilling for more oil in the U.S., making us independent of Arab thugs, and driving down the cost of gasoline? Wake me up when you have an answer.
ADAM GREEN is a NOTHING and a NOBODY
April 19 2008 at 5:52 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyHow anyone (man or woman) can look at "The View" and actually say they enjoy it, is beyond me, I've tried on three occasions and never got even half way through it. I can't stand the way Barbara Walters speaks; couldn't look at Rosie when she was on because she is a fat slob and disgusts me and I never know who else was on the show. I got in on it once when Whoopi Goldberg was spouting off about something, but only God can be sure of what.
I have better things to do than watch that trash.
Yes, Whoopi is wonderful! She can even make the ignorant Elizabeth shut up... Elizabeth needs to go! I love Joy and her sense of humor and her intelligence. Sherry gives a good balance and seems to calm some of the turbulance. I love it when Barbara is on the show because she keeps the haughty, lippy, ignorant Elizabeth in check. Elizabeth has been brainwashed so long by the right wing dippos that keep making excuses for their using public office for monetary gain to the good old boys that put them into powerful seat as President. We need more presidents like Abe Lincoln and Jimmy Carter, who "really" care about people and America.
The safest bet in our candidates is Hilary Clinton. She's the only one who has a heart... and maybe with her first man, we can get closer to a balanced budget and get to issues that take care of Americans, and not oil companies and Haliburton. Inspite of the distractions of Starr and Monica, we had the first balanced budget since we had a budget.
Get rid of Elizabeth Hasselbeck... a brainwashed, ignorant spoiled brat, who has never had to face hunger and foreclosure, and evictions, and no healthcare, etc... she's ignorant and has no idea what the average American has lost with the Bush and Reagan regimes.
Elizabeth hogs the conversation, annoys us, and is too young and ignorant to know what Reagan/Bush did to the S&L industry and our jobs. I want to strangle her when she spits out all her ignorant opinions. I never really cared for Rosie until she took on stupid Elizabeth.
Barb... hope you get rid of her soon, or I will make my visits to the view less frequent. When she was on maternity leave, it was like a vacation for all of us...
Wanda:-)))
Elizabeth needs to be taken off the View. She has never experienced some of the difficulties of life and she talks way to much and says nothing important. She protects the "Republican Party" and why she is so adament that the "Republicans" are just the best, is beyond my comprehension. All politics are crooked in my opinion. She is stupid.

It is a much-needed daytime relief from game shows and soap operas which are the traditional broadcast networks' fare. The entertainers who come on the show to push their latest film or song should be grateful for the chance for national exposure....rather than to bite the hand that feeds them.
