On This Date in 1973: Tito Jackson of the Jackson 5 is arrested for buying stolen televisions and stereo equipment, a charge that is later dropped.The Almanac Advises for April 17: "In a typical family, the older siblings have the responsibility of setting a good example for their younger brothers and sisters. For example, a child's big brother can sometimes feel that his own rebelliousness and experimentation must be kept in check, for fear that would lead the admiring younger child down a morally crooked path."
