On This Date in 1992: 'Jump,' by Kriss Kross, is the No. 1 song on the Bilboard Hot 100 singles chart.

The Almanac Advises for April 25: "Most educational experts agree that recess, a break period in which elementary school children can play and socialize freely, only enhances the instructional periods, in which students partake in academic pursuits in a structured manner."
