Sharon Jones Serenades Special Fan at Coachella

Taking to Coachella's Mohave tent on Friday night, the uninitiated may have recognized the Dap Kings as Amy Winehouse's backing band. But they were here this time to support the one and only Sharon Jones. After an extended intro, Jones stormed the stage like a gospel singer on fire. "Sometimes when I put this dress on, I like to strut!" she proclaimed. "So let me strut now!" Indeed, that's what she did. Performing many of the songs from her latest effort, '100 Days, 100 Nights,' including the title track, Jones pulled a nervous fan from the VIP section up on stage and serenaded him by singing, "I'm gonna give it to you! My love! I'm gonna give it to you!" As she gently escorted him back offstage, he leaned over and tenderly kissed her on the cheek. Jones seemed pleased. Meanwhile, it was his lucky day.
