I don't agree with this one either. I remember being in middle school when this song came out, and I loved it. I thought it was a cool song. The lyrics might be kind of silly, but its a good song. Spinner doesn't know what they are talking about.

Lol this is a little dodgy. Has anyone seen The Jackson's parody to this with Jackie singing lead and Marlon and Tito doing the "50 Ways to leave your lover" videos. Theres "Take her on a yacht, Scott", "Take her to the park, Mark", "Learn to fly, Sly", "Spill her Daquiri, Zachary" and more?

Paul Simon's schtick is edgy, story-telling songs with (yes, I agree) a funky beat. The critic doesn't like this one? He has a right to his opinion, as do you and I. This is a good song, one of many of his on my iPod.

Not only is it a catchy tune, but Paul wrote it as a rhyming lesson for his young child at the time.
Great creativity and superb pop phrasing.
