Bad Songs by Good Bands: No. 3

'Kokomo'
--Beach Boys (1988)

The Beach Boys set the mark for longest stretch between No. 1 hits with this goofball tune from the 'Cocktail' soundtrack, 22 years after 'Good Vibrations.' The song's vibes strive desperately for goodness, to little avail. C'mon, everybody: "Key Largo, Montego/Baby, why don't we go?" In a just world, this abomination would've singlehandedly torpedoed the entire tropical-paradise vacation industry.

FAIL

this song was a intermission filler from there touring days, and is anything but terrible, it's more like and American classic. doesn't matter if you hate chubby checkers or not the twist may not stand up to current musical tastes it's still a freaking classic....

Apparently there is no qualifications for being an internet "music critic". And trust me, on this list I use the term "critic" loosely. Was this an experiment for what a person thinks about music when they are smoking crack?? Epic fail !!!!!!
ABSOLUTE WORST COUNTDOWN EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fire spinner's ass NOW! Save yourself some face and reveal that this whole list was actually an off-date april fool's joke.

So, the song that revived the Beach Boys and actually put them on the map for most fans born after 1965 is their worst song? Are you kidding? This song is loved by even the hardcore Beach Boys fans who think Pet Sounds is a better album than St. Pepper's.

Whoever wrote this list certainly has not studied music or music history.

You know, I feel like I am being attacked personally. When you critize "Dancing In The Dark" (which describes me to a T now) and critize "Kokomo" (which is one of my favorites of all time), you have gone way too far. Whomever came up with this list should have their intestines tied together and force fed 10 bowls of chili. See if they are as tortured as we are for reading this list.

WOW, another great song that some internet geeks don't like because it isn't some lame little indie song.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? How fucking dare you put anything frome the Beach Boys on here. I'm 19 and I have more knowledge of and appreciation for music in small toe of my sidekick midget than you, the Spinner staff, has in your sidekick Andre the Giant. You assholes. Look I work retail and I know you have to back your product to a point, but when it sucks, it sucks. One of you Spinner staff members needs to pull your head out of your ass on your way down from your pedestal on top of your high horse and admit that you screwed up. You people are an abomination of the human race for allowing a song like this to be put on anyone's "worst" list of anything. I am seriously starting to think that I am double the age of the writers and editors of this list. Shame on you. Oh by the way, I'm not big on religion, but maybe a bath in Holy water would help rid you of that demon you seem to have that most people call stupidity.
