Trent Reznor promised that a surprise was on its way just two weeks ago, after releasing a new song, 'Discipline,' online. The Nine Inch Nails frontman didn't disappoint, as the band has released a new ten track studio album, titled 'The Slip,' for free at NIN.com "We encourage fans to remix it, share it with friends, post it on your blog, play it on your podcast, give it to strangers," a post read on the band's website.Unlike NIN's recent album, 'Ghosts I – IV,' the new disc features the lyrical and vocal approaches of Reznor. Clocking in at just under 44 minutes, 'The Slip' features songs including 'Letting You,' 'Echoplex' and 'Corona Radiata.'
Available in high quality MP3 form, FLAC Lossless, M4A Apple Lossless and High Definition WAVE 24/96, the new album finds NIN continuing to defy the traditional music business model. Complete track list is after the jump.
