On This Date in 1960: U2 lead singer Bono is born Paul David Hewson in Dublin, Ireland.

On This Date in 1989: Daughter Jordan Hewson is born to Bono and Ali Hewson.

The Almanac Advises for May 10: "The Vatican has consistently and steadfastly come down against human cloning in recent statements. Both Pope Benedict XVI and his predecessor Pope John Paul II have termed any such practice spiritually immoral, ethically unjustified and scientifically unnecessary."
