On This Date in 1981: Bob Marley dies in Miami, of complications from cancer located in his brain, lungs and stomach.The Almanac Advises for May 11: "Palliative care for those diagnosed with terminal cancer often includes the prescription of medical marijuana. This controversial treatment has been reported to give relief and comfort to patients in their final days."
