Founding Rush Member Dies + More

- Founding Rush drummer John Rutsey died on Sunday. According to Rush's management, Anthem Entertainment, Rutsey, 55, "passed away peacefully in his sleep from an apparent heart attack brought on by complications from diabetes."
- Weezer has bumped up the release of its new album by three weeks, putting the group's sixth disc into fans' clutches on June 3.
- Björk, Franz Ferdinand, Robyn and Hot Chip are among the performers slated to appear at Ferropolis, Germany's Melt! Festival, which is being held July 18-20.
- Larry Levine, the recording engineer who helped Phil Spector create the "Wall of Sound" technique, died on May 8, his 80th birthday.
