Scott Weiland Serves 14 Minutes of Eight-Day Jail Sentence

After turning himself into jail to serve an eight day sentence for his second DUI, Stone Temple Pilots vocalist Scott Weiland technically served a mere 14 Minutes.

The 40-year-old embattled rocker was released from L.A.'s Van Nuys Jail at 6:54pm Wednesday, ten hours after his 8:55am check in time, but most of the day was spent in processing. He was officially booked shortly after noon and assigned housing at 6:41pm, according to reports. 840 seconds later, he was set free.

Weiland was also fined $2,000, given four years probation and ordered to complete an alcohol-education program for the November 2007 arrest.

STP fans across the Midwest, who were wondering if the singer was going to make it to the band's headlining gig at Saturday's Rock on the Range Festival in Columbus, Ohio, are relieved. Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, not so much.
