Rock Almanac: May 22, 2008

On This Date in 1954: Bob Dylan, then known as Robert Zimmerman, celebrates his bar mitzvah just two days shy of his 13th birthday.

The Almanac Advises for May 22: "In the Jewish tradition, the bar or bat mitzvah ceremony marks the coming of age for a child. At that point, the child is considered responsible for his or her own actions."
