On This Date in 1957: Siouxsie Sioux, longtime lead singer of Siouxsie and the Banshees, is born Susan Janet Dallion in London.The Almanac Advises for May 27: "The Great Sioux Nation traditionally extends throughout the northern part of the Midwestern and Western U.S. but excluding Canada. The Native American divisions comprising this federation are best known today for their many battles with federal authorities."
