Summer Tour Spectacular: Coldplay

After seeing the iTunes ad, you may suspect that Coldplay are going to truly "bring it" on this tour. While you hope to see the return of the giant yellow balls during 'Yellow,' look forward to additional stunts, props and arena effects from frontman Chris Martin, who really is doing his best to summon his inner Bono, and his crew. Evidently, a good deal of the new album, 'Viva la Vida,' sounds like church music -- unsurprising as the band did record in Barcelona chapels.

Viva la Vida is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard and the words are enigmatic, yet beautiful. I can listen to it over and over, and in a lot of ways, it reminds me of some of my favorite songs by Keane--much more so than Bono. Although what with the deeper meaning and all, that's definitely Bono-influenced. Whatever. All I know is it's beautiful and I like a lot of the rest of the songs on the album, too.

Even though it sounds like church music, it still has meaning to it. Im really looking forward to the rest of the album.
