What about Faith No More Who had a hit in 1989 with "Epic" then another a few years later with a cover of The Commedores' "Easy"

"Holding Out for a Hero" was a top 40 hit for Bonnie Tyler

TEOTH was a hit in 1983, not 1989.

She had more than two hits. "Holding out for a Hero" was in the Top Twenty maybe top Ten. It was played in a David Copperfield CBS Special in 1984. I remember me and my Grandma watched the program when I was a freshman in High School.

Kelso, you forgot to mention Faith No More's second hit after "Epic." "Falling to Pieces" was a hit for them as well. And on the previous album, there was also "We Care A Lot."

Bonnie actually had a 3rd hit from the Footloose soundtrack..."Holding out for a Hero" that reached #34 on the Billboard Top 40

Bonnie Tyler actually had an impressive list of hits in Europe from 1970's until today such as Lost In France, It's A Heartache, Total Eclipse of the Heart, Holding Out For A Hero, The Best, Hide Your Heart, Bitterblue, Making Love (Out of Nothing At All), Heaven, Tire Tracks & Broken Hearts, Louise etc etc.
Bonnie Tyler is in the record studio now collaborating with hit maker Jim Steinman on a country-influenced album. Stay tune !

What About Holding Out For A Hero and while we are on the subject of two hit wonders I also remember a guy Named Matthew Wilder he had to hits in the 80's the songs where called Break My Stride which if I recall reached #3 and also The Kid's American which if I am not mistaken reached #24 I think you should research your research you will find out some of these so called two hit wonders had som more hits not all of them but some of them.

Did anyone else notice that all but one of these two-hit wonders were from the post-rock and roll era? That says a lot about modern music. There is an AM station in St. Louis that plays rock and roll era music (KZQZ 1430). If you are in the St. Louis area and you love rock and roll music, check it out. I think you will enjoy it. I'm a boomer from the rock and roll era, and I thoroughly enjoy hearing it all over again.

What about Men Without Hats? They had "The Safety Dance" and then about 5 years later "Pop Goes the World"

Lost soft rocker (but chart topper) Robbie DuPree was left off (thankfully). He may be the most successful two hit wonder, though - Steal Away made it to #2, and then Hot Rod Hearts spent a week or two at #1. His kind of music went away once the 1980s finally turned a corner, getting rid of the Paul Davis, Dupree, and Rupert Holmes types...

What about Men at Work? Down Under, Who can it be now, and...... Surprising for one of the biggest selling acts of the 80's that they would be forgotten.
