    Two-Hit Wonders: Crowded House

    'Don't Dream It's Over' (No. 2, 1987)
'Something So Strong' (No. 7, 1987)

If 'Dream' wasn't your girlfriend's favorite song in 1987, it was probably your mom's. Yet despite loads of maternal and critical praise, the Kiwi-Aussie four-piece only managed to turn their uplifting acoustic pop into an American Top Ten hit once more – on the lovesick follow-up single 'Something So Strong.' After that, unfortunately, the dream really was over.

Huh??? Crowded House a two-hit wonder? Well sure, you could say that IF you totally disregard their greatest hit "Weather with you". And "Fall at your feet"...

Whoever concocted this list? May they choke on "another piece of chocolate cake" (another great song. Well maybe not a hit in the States, but definitely in Europe). Eat this!

Utterly ridiculous to put Crowded House in here - you not heard of a little song called 'Better Be Home Soon'? The band never actually wrote a bad song, for crying out loud. Your credentials are shot to pieces.

Again I am going to point out Crowded House, though I am not sure if they were only a two hit wonder overseas but in Australia they are still pretty big.

I think the standard they are setting is a hit is:

    1) In the Top 10
    2) In the U.S.

By that standard CH, my fav band of all time, is a two hit wonder.

In fact, when I first saw the title, I wondered "I wonder if the House is on here."

I don't remember but didn't they sing "our House in the Middle Of the Street" it's been along time.

No it was Madness who sang our house. Madness was before Crowded House and a totally different vibe. Both bands are stellar though. I have everything by the house...a little by madness as well.

Dream sound awesome as covered by Sixpence None the Richer... I haven't heard the original and was wondering who performed it.
