    Two-Hit Wonders: Gary Glitter

'Rock and Roll Part 2' (No. 7, 1972)
'I Didn't Know I Loved You (Till I Saw You Rock and Roll)' (No. 35, 1973)

These days, this glam rocker's Top 10 anthem is heard blaring at sporting events from San Diego to Saskatoon. It must help that the song's lyrics, in their entirety, are as follows: "Hey!" As possible proof, Glitter's much wordier follow-up barely broke the Top 40. With all the legal trouble with minors he has gotten himself into in recent years, total silence would be a smart course of action.

Please remove this convicted child rapist from the list. I know his proclivities are acceptable in Hollywood but Vietnam thought otherwise.

That's right, he also did the original version of "Do You Wanna Touch Me?". Too bad this guy turned out to be a sick pervert who looked at child porn.

Whenever I hear R&R Pt 2 at sporting events, I usually say, "It's nice to hear Gary Glitter getting paid."

    Wonder if he collects anything??

Given that Glitter was English, I don't think he ever spent much time in California among the conservative pedophiles -- the ones who bitch they can't get jobs because the "liberal" establishment won't give them any due to politics (hint: it's due to their sexual preferences: republicansexoffenders-dot-com).

I'm willing to bet that all of the royalties from his work are tied up in litigation. He probably gets some minor income. The courts couldn't (even) take O.J.'s pension, remember?
