Adam Faith was a pop star around the same time and into the early 60s.

August 06 2008 at 9:36 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyKim Wilde continues to sell records throughout most of the world; in fact, her most recent CD was released last year to critical acclaim. She is one of the few female singers in the world to chart hits in the '80s, '90s, and '00s, and even a cursory glance at Amazon.com show her numerous "greatest hits" and compilations releases. The fact that AOL doesn't have a clue about music in other countries isn't surprising. Educate yourself.
July 23 2008 at 10:56 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI see one incorrect inclusion, even if you allow for USA-centrism. Bonnie Tyler hit #34 in 1985 with "Holding Out for a Hero" - another Steinman song, I might add. She also had the highest-charting version of "It's a Heartache" (#3, 1977). Good list overall, though.
June 11 2008 at 3:47 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyUH NO JEFF U DOLT, BONNIE TYLER DID THESE TWO SONGS NOT KIM WILDE!!
January 27 2009 at 8:20 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI never heard Kim sing It's a Heartache, always thought Bonnie Tyler was the only one to sing it.
