"Wild Thing" sampled the guitar riff from Van Halen's 1978 song "Jamie's Cryin'," for those in the know.

He didn't sing about killing cops, etc. I think his career hit the skids when the Central Park Jogger got raped and the media called it "Wilding." Sounded too much like "Wild Thing."
