"I have pretty much been able to accurately target my audience," Pollard tells Spinner. "So it makes more sense to keep [my music] in house. Also, it's easier to keep up with my torrid pace of releases. I'm always up to something and I can't stop it. I've just got a lot of different avenues now. Various music projects, art projects, merchandising, etc. I also have some good people in my corner and I have very dependable fans."
Those fans will be delighted to know that Pollard will have another album out with his new band, Boston Spaceships, in September, and will hit the road alongside members Chris Slusarenko (a Guided By Voices vet) and the Decemberists' John Moen.
